Michelle Gurevich presents in Sofia „Goodbye My Dictator“

Michelle Gurevich will sing in Sofia on April 28th at Sofia Live Club. The singer was born in Canada, but she is emotionally close to the audience from Eastern Europe.

She is the daughter of a ballerina from Odessa. Her father is an engineer from Leningrad. As a child she listened to her parents’ collection of Soviet and European records from the 1970s.

Photographed on the gate in front of her grandmother’s home in Odessa, Michelle Gurevich addressed a message of support to Ukraine and released the single „Goodbye My Dictator“, write the organizers of the concert in Bulgaria.

Her first album was 2007’s Party Girl, followed by Show me the face, Let’s Part in Style, New Decadence, Exciting Times, Ecstasy in the Shadow of Ecstasy.

On her upcoming tour, the singer presents her latest sixth studio album „Ecstasy in a Shadow of Ecstasy“.

The audience in Bulgaria will hear her famous song „First Six Months of Love“.

Gurevich’s music is characterized by its contralto range, inspired by artists such as Alla Pugachova, Adriano Celentano, Charles Aznavour and Yoko Ono. Among the people she appreciates and cites as close to her music are Nino Rota and film director Federico Fellini. Her music combines retro motifs, sentiment, tragicomic elements, bring loneliness and sophistication.
