One of the most famous Broadway musicals „The Phantom of the Opera“ will be performed in Sofia. There will be seven performances – on 11, 12, 13 and 14 April 2024.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s original production will be seen in Bulgaria at the National Palace of Culture (NPC).
The Phantom of the Opera
is the longest-running show on Broadway, which celebrated 30 years on stage in 2018. It has more than 13 thousand performances played, according to the organizers of the „BG Sound Stage“.
It has won more than 70 prestigious awards, including seven Tony Awards and four Oliver Awards, as well as Best Musical.
It has been recognized as one of the most beautiful and spectacular productions in history, seen by over 160 million people in 41 countries and 186 cities.
The musical is based on Gaston Leroux’s classic novel, set in the magnificent Paris of the 1930s, and tells the story of a musical genius known as the Phantom who roams the secrets of the Paris Opera House.
